Say: “Of your partners, can any originate creation and repeat it?” Say: “It is Allah who originates creation and repeats it: Then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?” Qur’an 10:34
Do they indeed ascribe to Him as partners things that can create nothing, but are themselves created? Qur’an 7:191

The believers note the lowliness, the incapacity and the absoluteness of these in the ability of other than Allah to create us, provide us with sustenance, take our lives and raise us up again. For anything or anyone to deserve worship and for followers to rightly invite others, there will be the need to have some justification based on the ability to provide all of these. The inconsistency in the faith of unbelievers is revealed in the variety of the deities they worship from one place to another. While some face the sun or the moon, some make things out of the earth.

Also in the wrong are those who believe in and thus worship Jinns and saints who are though living but are equally created beings that can neither help the worshippers nor save
themselves from the wrath of Allah, if He chooses to punish them. Like spirits, ancestors and idol carvings, they cannot protect the worshippers.

O men! Here is a parable set forth! Listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! And if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition. Qur’an 22:73

Indeed even those who believe in the unity of Allah, equally strive to meet His Mercy and do not consider themselves as deserving worship. This is because, like all servants of Allah, they will be called to account, and their fate is for Allah to determine.
